Smart + Safe is an integrated safety course that prepares adolescent girls with practical self-defense techniques, digital safety awareness, and confidence building strategies.
Keyla Alston-Griffin combines the practical training of a Kajukenbo martial artist with the professional insight of a Master of Social Work. From years spent assisting in women’s self-defense classes as a teenager to her current work with adolescents, she brings physical expertise and an understanding of how teens think, learn, and respond to risk.
Smart + Safe reflects this unique combination. The course equips girls with techniques they can recall under stress and the awareness, boundaries, and confidence they need to navigate both physical and digital environments
